Detailed Itinerary of the 10 Days Rwanda Adventure

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer on Kigali City Tour

On arrival at the Kigali International Airport you are welcomed by a driver guide who briefs you about the safari and later transfer you to visit the Genocide Memorials, National Museums and National Market where you buy souvenir to keep with you. On reaching the Genocide Memorials, you learn about the tragic genocide in which many Rwandans lost their dear lives. After exploring these places, you shall transfer to check-in hotel for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Hotel Chezlando.

Day 2: Transfer to Akagera National Park

Have breakfast then embark on transfer to the vast Savannah Akagera National Park located a few kilometers off the busy town of Kigali. You shall transfer for a period of 3 to 4 hours and when you reach the park enjoy a precise Game Drive then continue to check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Akagera Game Lodge.

Day 3: Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Akagera

Wake up early in the morning have breakfast then transfer with packed lunch to enjoy a Game Drive in the park traversing from one point to another. With park ranger guides informing you about the park, wildlife animals, you watch animals like elephants, buffalos, giraffe, zebras, leopards, hyenas, lions. wandering around their natural vegetation habitat. Take many photos then later break off for lunch. After lunch, continue to Lake Ihema to enjoy a boat cruise for 3 hours watching wildlife animals like hippos, crocodiles. After the cruise, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Akagera Game Lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park

Enjoy breakfast in the morning then embark on transfer to the vast prominent Nyungwe Forest National Park. You shall transfer for a period of 6 to 7 hours via green terrain vegetation, rolling hills. You shall have lunch en-route then after a while, reach the Park and check-in lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Nyungwe Hill Top View Hotel.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking in Nyungwe Forest

Early morning breakfast then transfer to the park headquarters for short briefing on conduct around the Chimpanzees. On reaching here, you shall be welcomed by park ranger guides who take you through briefing about Chimpanzee Tracking, Chimpanzees and Nyungwe Forest then later allocate you into groups of 8 with lead park ranger guides who transfer you to the starting points where you leave from to enter the green forest to track the chimpanzees.

Follow varying trails in the forest from one point to another in a period of 2 to 4 hours then after a while, you shall meet the chimpanzees and stay in their presence for an hour taking many photos to keep. After tracking the chimpanzees, you shall return to lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Nyungwe Hill Top View Hotel.

Day 6: Transfer to Lake Kivu

Breakfast in the morning then transfer to Lake Kivu. Take a journey of 6 to 7 hours with en-route views of the green terrain, bird species as well as lunch. On reaching the Lake, continue to check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Lake Kivu Serena.

Day 7: Boat Cruise on Lake Kivu – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Morning breakfast then proceed to enjoy a boat cruise along Lake Kivu as you visit the various Islands and enjoy the tranquil waters. Take many photos to keep. After the cruise, you shall transfer to Volcanoes National Park for a period of 5 to 6 hours and when you reach here, check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Five Volcanoes Lodge.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking at Volcanoes National Park

Early Morning breakfast then transfer to the Kinigi Park headquarters for precise briefing on conduct around the Mountain Gorillas, Reach here and get welcomed by a park ranger guide who takes you through precise briefing regarding the code o conduct in the presence of the Gorillas then after he shall locate you into groups of 8 with lead park ranger guides who lead you to the starting points.

You shall then enter the green forest vegetation to trek the Gorillas or a period of 3 to 5 hours depending on their current location following varying trails from one point to another. After a while, you shall meet the Gorillas and stay in their presence for a period of 1 hour taking many photos to keep. After trekking the Gorillas, you shall return back to your lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Five Volcanoes lodge.

Day 9: Golden Monkey Trekking at Volcanoes

Today you get to trek and watch the amazing Golden Monkeys in their natural forest vegetation habitat. You shall wake up early have breakfast then transfer to the Kinigi Park headquarters for short briefing on conduct in the presence of the Golden Monkeys. After precise briefing, you shall be allocated into groups of 8 with lead park rangers who transfer you to the forest to track the Golden Monkeys. Follow varying trails from one point to another tracing the Golden Monkeys and when you meet them, watch them as they jump from one tree branch to the next. Take many photos to keep of them then after a while, return back to your lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Five Volcanoes Lodge.

Day 10: Departure to Kigali Airport

Leisure breakfast then embark on departure to Kigali International Airport on a journey that takes you a period of 2 to 3 hours with en-route views of the green terrain, bird species. You shall reach the Airport to board your flight back home.
