Detailed Itinerary of the 15 Days Uganda Gorilla Safari

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Reach the Entebbe International Airport where you are welcomed by a driver guide who transfers you to check-in lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Protea Hotel Entebbe.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Early morning breakfast then transfer to the stunning Murchison Falls National Park located in the North Western part of Uganda. You shall transfer for a period of 4 to 5 hours depending on the traffic jam watching green vegetation terrain, bird species and a brief stoop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you trek and watch Rhinos in their natural forest vegetation habitat.

After being in the presence of the Rhinos, you shall transfer back to the headquarters for your trekking certificate. You shall continue to the vast Murchison Falls National Park where you enjoy an en-route Game Drive till you reach the lodge to check-in for Dinner and Overnight. Pakuba Safari Lodge.

Day 3: Game Drive and Boat Cruise at Victoria Nile

Have delicious morning breakfast then proceed on Game Drive in the park. You shall reach the park and traverse from one point to another watching various wildlife animals wandering around their natural vegetation  habitat. The wildlife animals you watch include; lions, leopards, elephants, and buffaloes). Other common animals include giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, Uganda kobs, warthogs etc.

At mid day break off for lunch then transfer on a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls. You shall reach here then at 2:30 pm cruise along the Victoria Nile watching many wildlife animals along the banks trying to break thirst, crocodiles and hippos beneath the waters. After the cruise, you shall return to the lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Pakuba Safari Lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Early morning breakfast then embark on transfer to the vast green Kibale Forest National Park located some kilometers off the park. You transfer for a period of 5 to 6 hours watching green terrain vegetation, bird species as well as lunch en-route. After a while, you reach the park and check-in lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight. Kibale Forest Camp.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking at Kibale Forest National Park

Today have breakfast then embark on transfer to the park headquarters for precise briefing on conduct around the Chimpanzees.

On reaching here, you are welcomed by a park ranger who welcomes you then informs you about the National Park, Chimpanzee Tracking and safari adventures you can do then later allocate you into groups of 8 with lead rangers who transfer you to the starting points where you leave from and enter the green forest to track the Chimpanzees following varying trails in the forest for a period of 2 to 4 hours depending where the chimpanzees are located.

After a while you meet the chimpanzees and stay in their presence taking many photos to keep.  After tracking the chimpanzees, you shall return back to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Kibale Forest Camp.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Delicious breakfast then embark on transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park located a few kilometers off the park requiring you to drive for  a period of 4 to 5 hours watching the green terrain, Rwenzori Mountains at a distance till you reach the park. You shall reach the park then break off for lunch and later continue to check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 7: Game Drive and Boat Cruise Kazinga Channel

Get up early have breakfast then transfer to the park to enjoy a Game Drive along the varying tracks. You shall transfer in a 4×4 wheel vehicle from one point to another watching various wildlife animals wander around their natural vegetation habitat. The wildlife animals you watch include; Elephants, buffaloes, hippos, Uganda kobs, and waterbucks, Predators: Lions, leopards, spotted hyenas, and side-striped jackals etc. After the Game Drive at mid day, break off for lunch then in the afternoon, proceed to enjoy an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel.

On reaching here, you shall get on the boat and cruise along the channel watching various wildlife animals along the shores, schools of hippo and crocodiles beneath the waters an adventure so exceptional. Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Wake up early have breakfast then embark on transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park located a few hours from the park requiring you to transfer for a period of 5 to 6 hours via the popular Ishasha sector. When you reach the park, proceed to check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Buhoma Lodge.

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest National Park

Today you get to trek and meet the Mountain Gorillas. Wake up early have breakfast then transfer to the park headquarters for short briefing on conduct around the Mountain Gorillas. You shall reach here and get welcomed by a park range guide who briefs you about Gorilla Trekking, Bwindi Forest National Park and the various activities you can do.

After the briefing session, he shall locate you into groups of 8 with lead ranger guides who transfer you along various trails in the park. Transfer 3 to 5 hours depending on the reported location of the Gorillas then after a while, you shall meet them and stay in their presence for an hour talking many photos to keep. After trekking the Gorillas, you shall return to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight, Buhoma Lodge.

Day 10: Transfer to Jinja Town

Wake up have breakfast then embark on transfer to the busy Jinja Town. You shall transfer for a period of 7 to 8 hours watching green terrain vegetation, bird species as well as have lunch. After a while, you shall reach Jinja and go straight to check-in lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Haven Lodge Jinja.

Day 11: White Water Rafting along River Nile

Early morning breakfast then transfer to the banks of the famous River Nile. You shall reach here and get welcomed then go through short briefing about the adventure. Afterwards, you are allocated into groups with guides to raft the Nile. You proceed on you white water rafting adventure beating the vigorous rapids of River Nile for a period of 2 to 6 hours. You shall enjoy the adventure then later return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Haven Lodge Jinja.

Day 12: Bungee jumping and River Tubing along River Nile

Wake up have breakfast then transfer to the River Nile for Bungee Jumping. You shall reach the banks and get briefed on the bungee jumping adventures after signing a consent agreement.

You shall then climb up to the place where you jump from and when you get here, you are offered safety gear like ropes to enable you bungee jump adequately.

After the bungee jump adventure, enjoy lunch then proceed to tube the river as they take many photos to keep. After the adventure, you continue to the lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Haven Lodge Jinja.

Day 13: Transfer to Kampala

Wake up have breakfast then continue to the busy city of Kampala. The journey takes you a period of 3 to 4 hours with a brief stop at the Mabira Forest where you zip line, take on a guided nature walk. Lunch is en-route, when you get to Kampala, check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Cassia Lodge Buziga.

Day 14: City Tour around Kampala City

Early morning breakfast then proceed to enjoy a city tour around Kampala. You shall transfer visiting various attractions, places around the city. Visit the Bahai Temple, Namugongo Martyr’s Shrine, Kabaka’s Palace Bulange Mengo, Kasubi Tombs etc. Lunch is en-route. Day 15: Departure to Kampala/ Entebbe Airport

Morning breakfast then embark on transfer to the busy city of Kampala or the Entebbe International Airport to board your flight back home. Highlights: Equator experience and scenic drive.
